  • Author: Mark's Recipe
  • Total Time: 5 mins

Description

A vibrant, tropical drink with a stunning color transformation. Perfect for summer vibes or a refreshing island-inspired treat!

Ingredients

Scale

Base Ingredients:

  • 2 oz pineapple juice – Adds tropical sweetness.
  • 1 oz cranberry juice – Provides a tangy balance and a pop of color.
  • Ice cubes – To chill the drink.
  • Pineapple wedge or cherry, for garnish – A decorative touch.

Optional Add-Ins for Extra Flair:

  • 1 oz blue curaçao (optional) – Creates a layered “purple” effect when mixed with cranberry juice.
  • 1 oz rum (optional, for an alcoholic version) – Jamaican rum adds a bold kick.
  • ½ oz grenadine syrup – Adds extra sweetness and a deeper color gradient.

Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare Your Glass

Fill a highball or cocktail glass with ice cubes to keep the drink chilled.

(Optional) Rim the glass with sugar for an extra touch of sweetness.

2️⃣ Mix the Base

Pour the pineapple juice and cranberry juice over the ice.

If using, stir in rum or your preferred spirit.

3️⃣ Add a Twist (Optional)

Slowly pour in blue curaçao for a stunning layered effect, which blends into a purple hue.

Drizzle grenadine syrup for added sweetness and a beautiful color gradient.

4️⃣ Garnish and Serve

Garnish with a pineapple wedge, cherry, or a slice of lime.

Serve immediately with a straw or cocktail stirrer.

Notes

  • Non-Alcoholic Version – Simply omit the rum for a delicious mocktail.
  • Layering Trick – Pour blue curaçao gently over the back of a spoon to achieve a smooth color transition.
  • Customize It – Adjust the sweetness by adding more grenadine or a splash of lemon juice for tartness.
