- 6 tablespoons salted butter
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1¼ cups heavy whipping cream
- 1½ cups whole milk
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 16 ounce package fettuccine
- Fresh parsley
Instructions
- Cook the fettuccine according to the package directions, then drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add the butter and allow it to melt. Add in the minced garlic, garlic powder, and salt, then whisk together to combine.
- Sprinkle the flour over the melted butter and garlic mixture. Whisk to combine, then gradually add the heavy cream and milk while continuing to whisk. Bring the sauce to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Stir in the Parmesan cheese and whisk until fully combined.
- Add the cooked and drained fettuccine to the sauce, using tongs to toss the pasta in the creamy sauce.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
